Kilimanjaro Marathon

The Kilimanjaro Marathon was established to promote the sport in Tanzania. There is also a half marathon and a 5K race.

Number of Places : Over 300 runners are expected.

Kilimanjaro Marathon Route
Runners head out on a fairly flat course from Moshi Stadium. They run 8-9 km in the direction of Dar es Salaam. The route then turns back towards the town of Moshi, passing through the town in the direction of the mountain before a long, steady ascent towards Mweka. There is a final uphill stretch up the mountain until the 32 km point before runners head back toward the finish line at Moshi Stadium.
