Upper Mustang Trek

Himalayan former Kingdom area of Nepal is mustang. It is situated in very remote area. Till now there is no road, vehicles do not pass and we will not have enough facility. Combination of this creates suitability in trekking. Unique tradition & culture are very interesting in exploring of local people. Our walk goes through very vast undistributed geographical situation. This area is very dry & Mustang district is regarded as desert of Nepal. Very less amount of rainfall occurs every year. Our main theme to trek in upper mustang is Rocky Mountains and fully snow covered sky touching mountains. Trekking on the dry land of mustang district will be accelerating, thrilling and memorable trek in our whole life.

We will start our upper mustang trekking from Pokhare. Having a drive we will reach Pokhara. We can take a flight also. Our path leads us to kagbeni, chele, ghaymi, Lo-Manthang, Drakmar, Ghiling etc. Here we will settle our several night. We can explore the culture & tradition of local people. Completing our destination our ending point will be Jomsom. From here we will have early morning mountain flight. Panoramic views of Annapurna mountain ranges will be so much impressive in our flight. This is also main theme of our trekking which will be good finishing of our trek.

Upper mustang round trekking is quite long day trekking. There is difficulty walking in zigzag narrow trial. Without any experience it will be a bit hard in starting trek. Trekking over here is suitable in the month of March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (7 to 8 hours)

Day 04: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (2700m) and trek to Kagbeni (2858m) – 4 Hours

Day 05: Kagbeni to Chele (3050m) – 6 Hours

Day 06: Chele to Syangboche (3475m) –7 Hours

Day 07: Syangboche to Ghaymi (3520m) – 6 Hours

Day 08: Ghaymi to Charang (3500m) — 5 Hours

Day 09: Charang to Lo-Manthang (3700m) – 6 Hours

Day 10: Acclimatization at Lo-Manthang

Day 11: Lo-Manthang to Drakmar (3810m) –7 Hours

Day 12: Drakmar to Ghiling (3806m) – 6 Hours

Day 13: Ghiling to Chhuksang (3050m) – 6 Hours

Day 14: Chhuksang to Jomsom (2700m) – 7 Hours

Day 15: Fly back to Pokhara

Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Day 17: Farewell
