Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar Trek

Considered one of the finest treks in the world, the Everest Base Camp Nepal Trek provides trekkers with exceptional close-ups of the world’s highest mountain. This, combined with trekking through fine Sherpa villages, and views of some of the world’s most beautiful mountain scenery, makes it a not-to-be-missed experience.

During acclimatization days, trekkers will have time to explore the Khumbu region villages, including the fascinating market town of Namche Bazaar. Still, the high point of the trek for many will be the awe-inspiring sunrise views from the summit of Kala Pattar, from the mighty south-west face of Everest to the massive ice towers of the Khumbu Glacier.

Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar Trek Itinerary:
Day 01:Arrive in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. A representative from WildPath Adventure will welcome you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Free afternoon/evening.

Day 02:After breakfast, enjoy a pleasant morning walk and visit to the ancient Swayambhunath or Monkey Temple, which is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Buddhist religions. From the top you can see the surrounding Kathmandu Valley. Then visit Pashupatinath, the most important Hindu temple in Nepal. After lunch, visit the famous Durbar Square in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner and a chance for you to view traditional Nepali dancing.

Day 03:From Kathmandu fly to Lukla (2840m. /35 min) in the early morning and trek to Phakding (2640 m./3 hrs.). Overnight at lodge.

Day 04:Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m./6 to 7 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. Climbing through pine forest, trekkers will be thrilled by their first view of Everest.

Day 05:Rest and acclimatization day in Namche. Explore this fascinating town, visit the nearby museum or take a day hike to the Everest View hotel for great views of Everest..

Day 06:Trek to Tengboche (3860 m./5 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. Visit the fabled monastery and enjoy the great scenery of the trek route ahead.

Day 07:Trek to Dingboche (4410 m./5 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. Today’s trek is a gentle uphill climb, with fantastic views of AmaDablam on the right.

Day 08:Rest and acclimatization day at Dingboche. Today we will rest or take an acclimatization hike to Chhugkung (4730). From here you will have great views of Island Peak, Nuptse and Lotse.

Day 09:Trek to Lobuche (4910 m./4 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. This area is reported to be the home of the fabled snow leopard and yeti.

Day 10:Trek to GorapShep. (5140m/ 4 to 5 hrs). After a short morning trek to GorapShep, we will have lunch and then climb Kala Patthar (5550m) (. From here you will have jaw-dropping close-up views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

Day 11:Trek to Pheriche (4240 m./5 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. After an early breakfast, we will go to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) and get a first- hand look at the fabled place from where the mountaineers start on their attempt to reach the top of the world’s highest mountain. After that, we will trek down to Pheriche.

Day 12:Trek to Tengboche (3860 m./5 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. Today we retrace our steps back to this beautiful village and monastery.

Day 13:Trek to Khumjung (3780 m.4 hrs.). Overnight at lodge.Khumjung is the largest village in the Khumbu region and is the proud home of the original Hillary School, built in 1961.

Day 14:Trek to Thame (3750 m./5 to 6 hrs.). Overnight at lodge. Avoiding the usual trail, today we follow the BhoteKosi River and stay in the picturesque village of Thame.

Day 15:Trek to Monjo (2840 m./5 to 6 hrs.). Overnight at lodge.

Day 16:Trek back to Lukla (2840 m./3 hrs.). Overnight at lodge.

Day 17:Fly back to Kathmandu in the morning (35 min.) and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Enjoy a farewell dinner in a Nepali Restaurant and celebrate a successful trek with new friends!

Day 18:Final Departure to your destination. We say good bye and Namaste until we meet again.
