- Visit 18th-century ruins along the Atlantic Forest trail
Hop in a boat and escape to another world on this Florianópolis tour that takes you to Guarda do Embaú, a small fishing village that’s also home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil.
We’ll take a 30-minute hike along the Atlantic Forest, where paradise landscapes will have you snapping photos every few steps. Along the way, check out the ruins of old mills and houses dating back to the 18th century. Along the trail there are also plenty of restaurants serving up local fish and seafood dishes — perfect for your lunch break later on!
But of course the real star here is the white sand and turquoise lagoon that empties out into the ocean. This stretch of Guarda do Embaú beach is surfers' heaven, and if you want to try your skills on the waves, you can sign up for a surf lesson (at extra cost). Not sure you can tackle the surf scene? No problem, there are also stand-up paddleboards available for rent (extra cost) if that’s more your speed. Or if you just want to splash around in the sun on your own, no problem! This is your mellow afternoon, so relax and soak it up!
