“Y'all, let me tell you, my 4-day Transylvania castle tour with this local travel specialist was an absolutely amazing experience! As a Texas girl, I'm used to seeing some big things, but the castles in Romania were truly something else. From the moment we arrived, the agency made us feel at home. Our tour guide was top-notch, and their knowledge of the castles and the region really added to our understanding and appreciation of this unique part of the world. We visited iconic castles like Bran Castle, famously associated with Dracula, and Peles Castle, which is an absolute masterpiece of neo-renaissance architecture. The history and stories behind these castles were absolutely fascinating, and our guide was full of interesting facts and anecdotes. Beyond the castles, we also had the chance to explore charming towns and villages, sample delicious local food, and learn about the culture and history of the region. It was a truly unique experience that I will never forget. Overall, I can confidently say that travelling with them was the best choice we could have made. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring that we had an unforgettable experience really made all the difference. We had to reschedule due to Covid and Zoran honored everything from the original trip and went above and beyond to make this anticipated experience a high-end luxury vacation on Korcula Island in June 2022...from the Soul Sisters Villa, the daily island excursions on the yachts, the buggy tour of Korcula, along with the awesome food and transportation...it was all seamless due to the coordination of Captain Zoran and all of his local contacts in the community! Roko, along with the rest of the crew members, became a part of our extended family. My husband and I were thrilled to explore the charming regions of Transylvania and Maramures and indulge in the expertise of the team. From start to finish, our tour was an exceptional experience that exceeded our expectations. Maramures is a region in Romania that is known for its stunning natural beauty and unique culture. The highlight of our tour was the traditional wooden churches that dot the countryside. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites are an incredible sight to behold, with their intricate carvings and vibrant paintings. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and significance of these churches, and we were left in awe of their beauty. Another unforgettable experience was visiting the Merry Cemetery in the town of Sapanta. This vibrant cemetery is unlike any other in the world, with colorful tombstones that tell the stories of the deceased in a humorous and lighthearted way. Our guide shared with us the fascinating history and traditions behind this unique cemetery, and we were left with a deep appreciation for the customs and culture of Maramures. Throughout our tour, we also had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in local experiences. We visited traditional markets where we sampled delicious local cheeses and meats, and we learned about the traditional crafts of the region, such as woodcarving and weaving. These experiences allowed us to truly connect with the local people and gain a deeper understanding of the culture and way of life in Romania.
