“Every transfer was spot-on time with friendly drivers. The hikes were challenging as expected but led to some spectacular scenery. Pre-training and good hiking shoes, preferably boots, a must. Trails were well labelled with coloured markers and the route notes were very detailed and easy to follow. Accommodation was good. An excellent package and well priced.”

“I and two other ladies did this 1 week hike last week. The trek itself was really excellent, not difficult at all, though there are a few steep climbs. The scenery was spectacular, and having strawberries, currents, raspberries growing on the roadside to eat was wonderful. Traventuria does a first class plus job of organising the trip, with being met and the airport, organising DBB accom, baggage carrying, maps etc. All their drivers arrived early and were happy to accommodate our needs, and our hosts at the accom were so friendly. Also we had a few problems that meant many last minute changes, Traventurias manager Ivailo was always happy to accommodate, and all correspondence with him was very efficient. Totally recommended!”

“We went on this tour by recommendation of friends who had previously visited Bulgaria and this same tour with Traventuria. Having been already on a few such hikes in the Alps and the Pyrenees we wanted to experience something different. And we got it! Stunning mountains, combined with perfect organization, very good accommodations and local food. Very good physical condition is a must if you wish to fully enjoy the hikes. But scenery has been rewarding throughout. We were lucky to be there when summer starts and meadows were filled with a variety of flowers, blooming right after the winter. Our guide even showed us a herd of mountain goats at the foot of Vihren. The program is designed in the best possible way. We had a day off with less activities, which was meant to provide more time for relax between the hikes in Rila and Pirin. And we made use of it by visiting one of the most famous tourist attractions in the country - the UNESCO heritage listed Rila Monastery. Overall great experience and highly recommended tour!”
