- Visit the locations central to Detroit’s unstable recent history
- Learn the city’s history and stories from a passionate local guide
- See some unique buildings with even more unique stories
After meeting your guide on Broadway, you’ll hit the streets and begin taking in the rich architecture and history of Detroit city. You’ll swing by landmarks like the renovated Opera House, the historic Athletics Club, and the innovative Campus Martius Park. You will take a ride on the elevated people mover, and get some grand views of the luxurious MGM Grand Casino, as well as the eye-catching Rosa Parks Transit Centre.
The stories of the fall of Detroit, and onto the renewal of the city, are very interesting and magnificently told by your guide. Seeing the buildings that form the area is fantastic, but learning the history and stories behind them is the real attraction. Venues that hosted music stars, buildings that were empty for decades, there is so much hidden in the architecture of Detroit, and you will finish up with a recap at a great local brewery, where your guide will answer all your questions and finish off the tour on a tasty and cold note.
