“We just finished the Darjeeling Singalila Ridge trek. We had an excellent guide, Pemba. He has the widest knowledge about the geography, the plants, everything. He took care of all our needs during the trek. We highly recommend this company and especially the guide Pemba for anyone considering taking a Trek in the Darjeeling, Singalila , Sikkim region. The trek was amazing, and we had very good views in the morning of the whole Himalaya range including Everest and Lotse in the distance and the relatively nearby Khangchendzonga. On our way we had a chance to meet the local population, see how they live, and learn to make momos...”

“We found this tour company by chance looking for some help to get to Varsey in Sikkim, and we are so glad we did. Subash (the owner) was extremely helpful & stopped us wasting a whole day just driving. As he could see we were disappointed he proposed a 1 day trek that would satisfy what we were looking for & it didn't disappoint. We had an amazing trek from Dhotrey to Chitre with our superb guide Tenzin, who was knowledgeable, courteous & informative all day. This trek takes you through the Singalia National Park & crosses the Nepal border where you have lunch at Tumling. It gave us a real taste for trekking in this region & we definitely want to return to do some of the longer hikes. The day started at 6am with our hotel pickup & we were dropped back to the hotel about 5.30pm. All food, snacks & refreshments were provided & we didn't go hungry. All in all a fab day & we'd definitely recommend using this company.”

“What a trip! We dropped in to see Subash (business owner) who put our tour together the afternoon before. Dawa Lama was our guide and he was nothing short of excellent! We ask a LOT of questions and he was patient, knowledgable and nothing went unanswered. One of us has serious intolerance to lots of food - Dawa made sure everything was cooked separately for us to cater for this everywhere we went which meant we stayed well throughout. He picked us up when we fell over and even rescued our bag when it shot off the trail down the mountain! Dawa picked the best bits of the normal 5 day hike and made sure we did the highlights ... a lot of the early part of the trail is on 4x4 tracks so Day One we hired one of the land rovers who drove us up to Tumling ... we hiked from Tumling to Garibas then drove up to around 3km short of Sandakphu to hike up. We had the clearest view the next day of the mountains. Dawa organised a birthday cake and candles and then we set off for two days hiking the black forest all the way down to Rimbick which is just beautiful! The accommodation organised through Subash was excellent considering the limited resources on the ridge. The two home stays were really really welcoming and there is loads of opportunity to chat to other hikers in the evening. Dawa always introduced us to the owners and is so friendly to everyone we came across on the trails meaning we chatted to farmers and porters learning even more about local life. We are not about big ticket travelling or head down hiking - we go to places to walk, look up, enjoy and learn - Dawa and Subash understood what we wanted and delivered 110%!!! Few tips ... you have to carry your own gear, pack light and pack warm ... it is very cold at night and at sunrise. Take one set of walking clothes and a long sleeve t-shirt to sleep in. The tour company provide sleeping bags but we took our own inners. We took our own walking poles and these were a god send but it depends on how strong your knees are! Book with this company and ask for Dawa as your guide ... you wont be let down!!! Thanks guys for such a memorable trip ... we will be back.”
