Uzbekistan 13-Days Tour Reviews

Outstanding Trip

“We have been on a number of trips by this tour operator and without doubt this is one of the best we have undertaken.Uzbekistan is a stunning country with wonderful buildings and monuments and incredibly friendly and polite people. Our guide was the best guide we have had, he was so enthusiastic about his country you could not fail to enjoy your time there.Kazakhstan could really be missed from the trip with the time saved being spent in the other two countries, we just saw lots of open plains and a big busy city in Almaty.Kyrgyzstan is a stunningly beautiful country with wonderful scenery. Some days involved long drives and perhaps driving all the way around Issyk Kul may be a little excessive but you get great views of the snow capped mountains and have the opportunity to stop at various sites along the way.The food overall was very good though the service in all three countries is very slow, haphazard and random.Whilst the dominant religion in each of the countries is Islam they are open to western culture and dress and therefore provided you offer the usual respect in mosques etc. there is no issue regarding the suitability of clothing”

“The Central Asia Journey is a wonderful adventure for those looking for something different. Four of my fellow travellers were fit over 80 year olds and coped magnificently, myself at 74 and not so fit was surprised I managed to keep up as well as I did. The accommodation was excellent and the food terrific. We were always served alcohol when we needed it, which was often because we are Aussie and it was hotter than I expected. Trip comes highly recommended from a fairly experienced traveler and is great value for money.”

“There's never a dull moment in this full-on, activity packed, classic road and rail journey. Squeezing three contrasting countries into just 15 days is something of a challenge and it requires stamina, energy, good humour and an open mind to get the most out of it. With just five in the group, this felt like a private trip and the intensity and space certainly benefitted an excellent itinerary. Uzbekistan has the monuments, China provides the counterpoint and nomadic Kyrgyzstan oozes impossibly beautiful mountain and lakeland vistas. Throw-in the Russian influences and the echoes of Ginghis Khan, Tamerlane, Alexander the Great and Marco Polo and you have an intriguing concoction.”
