“The tour was very good. Even though we went during the rainy season, they worked with the situation every day it rained. If you come prepared, it should not be a problem. And by coming prepared, that means bring a poncho, umbrella, rain jacket, and a change of clothes when they become wet from rain and sweat. The hotels were comfortable, the food was good, the locals were friendly, and treated us fairly in pricing. The only issue is that they should have made a better effort to describe the physical requirements of the tour. We went on 5 long walks where 3 were VERY strenuous. We are in our 70s and it was very challenging. Thank goodness we had our trekking poles to assist in one walk in the Hanging Bridges. We had to stop several times to catch our breath but the younger people went on and left us behind. Thank goodness the guy leading the tour stayed with us.”

“We started off San Jose and explored the culture. Food was amazing. Next we headed out to Pacuera River to whitewater raft for two days. Got to stay in the rainforest with huts and the guides/volunteers were Amazing. So attentive, knowledgeable and kind. They kept us well fed. Our next trip took us to LA Fortuna....long drive but worth it. The hanging bridges, waterfall, and hot springs all were very enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see spider monkeys and other native wildlife ssooo cool! We then went to Quepas near Manuel Antonio to enjoy the Pacific beach. Beautiful as well. The water is very warm. Other wildlife we saw were macaws, iguanas, chipocun monkeys. Last destination back to San Jose. Enjoyed walking around the market streets. Our drivers, guides, and meals were all great.”

“Everything about the trip worked out except for our pick up at the airport in San Jose. our flight arrived a little bit early and we waited for a half hour and did not find our transfer bus to the hotel. Come to find out it did show up later than we anticipated, but we had already left in a taxi to our hotel. It was provided according to the emails we received, but it was late. Someone should’ve checked that our flight was coming in early. All in all, everything ran pretty smoothly and our optional side tours were wonderful. The choices on this trip for side trips and activities were amazing! Even though the temperatures were very high, we enjoyed our night jungle tour! We saw kinkajous, a raccoon, scorpions mating, several tree frogs, three snake sightings, one of which was a poisonous viper, we saw a poisonous female bullfrog that was huge, several kinds of spiders, parrots and monkeys.”
