On our Free Spirited Copenhagen tour, we skip across the newly built bridge from Nyhavn to the original area of Christianshavn. From a swamp to a thriving city district, let’s just say there’s a few stories to tell.
From afar, you see a newly built residential complex, hiding behind it are old crooked houses with slanting roofs. The colorful houses line the streets that run along the narrow canals of Christianshavn. You hear the ripple of the water against the boats, suddenly there’s an unexpected smell! Our tour of course takes us to the freetown of Christiania.
A woman’s prison, a two Michelin star restaurant, military base and Danish art and architecture center; the mix of the old and the new, interest and purpose makes for a free spirited Copenhagen. At the end of the tour we’ll leave you right outside the door to Christiania. Then you can do whatever your heart desires.
