I totally loved the experience! It was quite a challenge for me climbing up and down those very old stairs but the view and amazing sights are so worth the effort!
Big thanks to Nepal Lion Tours and Treks:)
I had a great time trekking. I originally was going to go to the Everest region, but my flight was cancelled due to weather. Shiva, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating. He made sure to get me to the mountains and trekking in the easiest and most convenient way possible. Though it cost me a little more due to the weather cancellations, the Poon Hill trek was worth every penny. It's no walk in the park, it's a tough trek, but the challenge through jungles, mountains, and hills make the great views worthwhile and a valuable memory! I highly recommend this trip.
Langtang National Park was the third most popular trekking region in Nepal after the Annapurna and Everest regions. This changed considerably after the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal on the 28th of April 2015.
Langtang Valley is now considered to be ground zero of the earthquake.
Just a few days after the earthquake the already damaged village of Langtang was hit by an enormous landslide and got completely swept away. And just like that, the biggest village of the region ceased to exist.
There’s been a lot of rumors and lies online on the world’s biggest traveling forums and guidebooks, that since the earthquake happened the Valley is closed for trekking.
That’s complete rubbish!!! The Valley is open for trekking!!
The locals that still live in the Valley were almost begging us to tell our friends and other tourists we met that Langtang Valley is 100% open for business.
The locals say that the only way they can continue their life is if tourists come back to Langtang Valley.
We had just return back from a fantastic trek to Langtang valley view. We were four friends trekking to Langtang along with a guide from Nepal Lion Tours and Treks. We had enjoyed the trek with good sceneries of the mountains, Langtang valleys and the landscape of this region. Have an opportunity to know about the different ethnic groups and the culture of the.
The sunrise in Poon Hill is arguably one of the best viewpoints in the world. The whole Annapurna and Dhaulaghiri range in all its splendour .We had a great time atAnnapurna Poonhill Trekking. It was nice and easy booking. Very good service and a reasonable price. We will definitely use this company again Nepal Lion Tour s and Treks.”
We had an unforgettable seven-day trek to Poon Hill and back around the Annapurna region, rigorous enough to be exciting and filled with absolutely breathtaking views, without being too challenging for beginners like we were. surya an excellent guide -- professional, extremely knowledgeable and dependable. Highly recommend the Poon Hill trek for beginners looking for a bit of steep climbing, rain forestry and of course views, and of course even more advanced trekkers who'd like a shorter four or five day jaunt. It's a well-trodden path and at night times you sleep in little village guesthouses along the way, cheap places with identical menus (but prices the rise the higher you climb) and clean beds. Don't forget to wake up early for the Poon Hill sunrise 6:30am. I won't forget it.
“We had a great time at Poonhill. It was nice and easy booking. Very good service and a reasonable price. We will definitely use this company again Nepal Lion Tours and Treks ( P) LTD.
Gorepani poon hill and poonhill panoram trekis a very nice place to visit for sunrise and sunset view of whole Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri Range.Wake up early and take a torch, you will be rewarded by the best sunrise. It's about an hour easy walk along paths and up steps from the village to the peak, but its cold and dark so take care. The view from the top is awesome with 360 views I highly recommend to Nepal Lion Tours and Treks shiva thank you for arranging this beautiful, well organised trip. We enjoyed trekking with Prakash and Rajendra, they are really helpful and they did help to make the trip as comfortable as it can be in the mountains
Definitely go at Sunrise! It will be crowded, but you can still spend a good amount of time and wait for the area to clear for a good picture. This is a lovely hike and wonderful place, highly recommended for everyone who is at least in medium shape. Won't deny that the last part before reaching Poon-Hill was a bit hard (I'm not a morning person). But for sure lovely afterwards!
Our group like to highly recommended Nepal Lion Tours and Treks!!
For me trekking in Langtang Valley was more fun than anything. After I landed my foot outside the International Airport it felt like a bizarre country with weird kind of people. But again and again I felt myself wrong. These amazing people living in such an amazing landscapes are the most lucky people in the world. They are living in the place where it feels like God himself lives.
Besides, everything was just fine except the feeling that these people have an amazing blend of minimal technologies with their resilient lifestyles in such a rural region and the contrast is we westerners can't imagine living a minute without electricity or our cell phones.
You will never stop praising the nature for its beauty. The pristine lakes, fast flowing rivers from the Himalayas and several other things you will never be able to forget in your lifetime.
I visited Nepal in April '16 and completed the 6 day Poonhill Trek. Probably one of my favorite vacations of all time! Rhododendrons in bloom with views of the Annapurnas... breathtaking. Our Nepal Lion Tours and Treks , shiva, was one of the best in the business. His English is great, and we had very clear communication over email while making the trekking plans beforehand,You can tell he loves his job and has a deep passion for his work, the Nepali people, and his homeland. During our trek, our comfort was his biggest concern, and he always made sure everything was to our liking. In the evenings, we'd spend some time chatting about Nepal, the culture, and he even taught us some Nepali card games.
After talking with other travellers, I believe our trekking rates were very competitive too.
I would highly recommend this company Nepal Lion Tours and Treks !
I had such a great time that I'm really hoping to visit Nepal again, but for a longer duration. One week was not enough!
The sunrise in Poon Hill is arguably one of the best viewpoints in the world. The whole Annapurna and Dhaulaghiri range in all its splendour. We had Great trip to Poonhill on last week.
Ghorepani Poon-hill trek is a colorful and challenging short adventure into the Annapurna region. Which is one of the famous short trekking In Nepal.I was here during a trekking Ghorepani it is a walk of maybe 1/2 hour to Poon Hill. You have to get up early. Best view is round 5 o clock. There are not many clouds (if you are Lucky) When the sun sets the view on the Annapurna and Dhaluaugiri range is breath taking...
My everest base camp trek from Lukla to Mount Everest Base camp and then to Kalapattar at about 5546 metres. The trek was pretty challenging. It was spanning for about 15 days Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla via i Air . I landed in Lukla and with the help of a guide we started our trek after a cup of Tea in a nearby Tea shop. My first stop was Phakding about 3 hrs trek from Lukla and it was at 2620 metres . The trek was very scenic,
The trek to Everest Base Camp was an interesting warm up before climbing Kalapathar. We also climbed Kala Patthar down the valley from Everest Base Camp to help the acclimatisation process and get some stunning photos of the landscape.
As for the trip itself I will say this: No life without a trip to Nepal and the Himalayas has been lived to its fullest in Everest Base Camp Trekking 15 days included Itinerary is very great. We are highly recommended this itinerary and this package.
When I was at the base camp I found the amazing mountains right in front of my eyes which was unbelievable! I recommend everyone to go to Annapurna Region trekking 7 day to 22 day its was very extremely surprised treks route,This trek was absolutely amazing but strenuous. Not so much for the altitude but for constant up and down and 100000+ steps up and down but beautiful scenery through forests and villages while getting closer to ABC. Stunning and beautiful.
Spent 14 days on the Everest Base Camp trek. It was a great trek, full of breathtaking views and challenging days, but we'll worth the money paid. If you have this on your bucket list like I did you will not be disappointed. Crew of Pasang and Suresh were fantastic and kept things loose. Very accommodating guides. Made our trip special.
