About Us
OUR FOUNDATION IS OUR PASSION FOR NATURE AND OUR MISSION IS TO PRESERVE IT. In Wild Peru consists of Manuel Mori, from Iquitos by the Amazon River in Peru, and Miriam Ohrn, from a small island in a marine national park on the Westcoast of Sweden. Based on Manuel’s vast knowledge of tourism and guiding in Peru and Miriam’s background in administration and sales they formed their business in June 2013. The story of the business began when Miriam had just finished her yoga teacher training course in Cusco and Manuel was working as a guide in the rainforest. The initial idea was to offer tours of the rainforest with yoga to travellers mainly in Cusco. "When we started to spread the word of our idea we quickly needed to put together tours covering more parts of the country." This was the starting point of the rapidly growing business. ”We commit to making our trips a way of helping the nature and local people. The preservation of wild nature and protecting wildlife is our great passion that fuels us in our work. Peru is a treasure that we must protect. We believe it’s possible to contribute and to make a real difference.
