From the market, it is time to really give your mind and soul, as we venture into the local world of Buddhism, with our first stop at the famous Wat U-Mong. This temple is over 600 years old, and famous for its painted pagoda and underground tunnel. Aside from the history, it also forms an extremely peaceful spot to take in the serenity, and you will also have the opportunity to chat with the temple’s leaders about Buddhism and Dharma.
From here, it is on to Wat Suan Dok temple, where we will spend time with the local monks, learning about their way of life and the intricacies of this peaceful religion. You will have the opportunity to learn some of the basics of meditation, and finish the day with a full soul as you make an offering to the Sangkha.
