Start and end in Chamonix, the trip Alpine Introduction Course And Gran Paradiso Climb is a guided climbing trip that takes 7 days. You will be touring through Rifugio Federico Chabod, Chamonix and Albert Premier Hut in Italy, France and Switzerland. Alpine Introduction Course And Gran Paradiso Climb is a small group trip which will include accommodation, transport, meals and others. Please check the package includes section for more details.

Learn to climb with the experts before attempting Gran Paradiso (4061m). This alpine introduction course is designed for newcomers to mountaineering and provides a solid basic foundation in high mountain skills, for snow, ice and rock, including crevasse rescue and navigation. We base the week in the Mont Blanc range that provides a stunning location and challenging climbs whilst undertaking the course. At the end of the trip we shall attempt an ascent on the spectacular Gran Paradiso (4061m), the highest peak in Italy, which is a relatively straightforward climb on 35/40 degree snow and will be a good test of our recently acquired skills. This is a perfect introduction to alpine climbing and would be a great way to prepare for other expeditions in the Himalaya, South America or the Alps. After this course it is possible to add a 3 day ascent on Mont Blanc (making a 10 day trip), please ask our staff for more details.

Review for another World Expeditions tour
“Great trip. Knowledgeable and friendly guides. Great way to see the country by road. Festival alone is well worth a visit to Bhutan.”

Review for another World Expeditions tour
“I had a most wonderful and life changing trek in the Himalayan Mountains in May and June this year. The Annapurna section was beautiful, with extraordinary views and a lot of lush green areas which contrasted well with the sensational mountain passes. The Upper Dolpo section was more remote, more barren and had many more high mountain passes. It was absolutely spectacular. World Expeditions provided (as always in my experience) expert guides and when I developed a serious problem with my foot a pony was miraculously found for was so exciting riding a pony up and down mountain passes. I felt like I was in the movie "The Man From Snowy River". I had set myself a challenge to walk part of the GHT, and while I did not complete all of it due to injury, I have come home with a fresh perspective on life and living, and yes, I have found the meaning of my life.”
