Aquila game reserve, just over 150 km and two-hours away from Cape Town, is a malaria-free privately-owned game park. There is a 4-star lodge, and a world-class spa facility for those who want to overnight at extra cost (inquire about this service at the time of booking). Guests can choose between the morning pick up from your all hotels in Cape Town 6.30am or afternoon game drive with a 9am pick-up.
Cape Town has a lot wildlife Tours to offer in a day trip, but Aquila safari day tour has been voted by travelers as the best way of doing a private safari in day trip from Cape Town. Do not expect to see big herds of animals like in our national parks such as Kruger and Addo, but rest assured that your ranger will explore all avenues to make sure that you see the wild animals in the park.
You will be collected by a private tour guide in a luxury sedan vehicle or minibus from your hotel in Cape Town. Upon arrival at the game park, guest(s) will be given a welcome nonalcoholic sparkling wine beverage, and after signing in, we will proceed to the restaurant where an included full buffet breakfast will be served.
After breakfast, we will board a truck with a small group of other travelers, and we will embark on a 2 to 3-hour game drive to see the animals. After the game drive, we will return to the base and an included full buffet lunch will be served at the restaurant. The food is Halal, with an option for vegetarians.
Soon after lunch, we will return to Cape Town, with an option of two stops in the Cape Winelands Region, where you will do a complimentary wine tasting at two wine farms: Fairview Wine Estates (here you will do wine and cheese pairing in your tasting) and Marianne Winery (here you will do wine and biltong pairing/dried meat).
From here we will drop you off at your hotel at approximately 4.30pm.

What is the best way to travel to South Africa?
South Africa is a long journey and most people travel to the southern tip of Africa by plane. It is also quite a large country and most people prefer to fly low-cost local airplanes between larger cities and rent a car to travel between different points of interest. The most stress-free way to travel in South Africa is to join a tour group or pre-planned tour that takes care of all the travel arrangements for you.
