Enjoy flexibility and privacy on this day tour. A beautiful Cape Town experience with your own private tour guide driver in a luxury sedan or mini bus is the best way to explore and discover the Cape of Good Hope and its famous Point! Known geographically as the most south-western tip of Africa and the meeting place of the cold Benguela and the warm Agulhas currents from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, the Cape and its point are not to be missed on your South African visit.

You will be collected at your hotel at a time you choose, though we recommend a starting time of around 9am so that you do not miss the penguins at Boulder's Beach. Start the day with a brief Cape Town City Centre orientation tour where your personal guide and driver will share the history of buildings, people, and culture.

We will stop at Afrogem, the leading manufacturers of gold, tanzanite, diamond and many other precious stones. We will do a factory tour in real time and see how the jewelry is made. If you wish, you can purchase and take home a piece of Africa.

Next, we will stop at Signal Hill and see natural beautiful Cape Town and its spectacular waterfront. From here you should be able to see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of life in jail. The west coast part of Cape Town and its winelands district can also be seen.

Our next stop is Maiden Cove, where you can smell the fresh air from the clean beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton and snap some stunning photos. Table Mountain, the Twelve Apostles mountain chain and Lion's Head will display a perfect background.

We’ll drive through Camps Bay, Bakoven and L'Landudno, en route to Hout Bay where we will stop for approximately one hour and a quarter. Here we will have an opportunity to buy gifts and souvenirs from local and international artists.

Then, we will take a boat trip of about 45 minutes (return) to see a big colony of Cape Fur Seals. Check the sea conditions, as we do not want you to get seasick if you cannot handle a bumpy sail! Some top local fresh fish and chips stores are found here, kindly ask your guide to show you where if you would like to taste the local seafood.

From here, we will drive one of the most scenic roads in the country, known as Chapman's peak drive, with various options of stopping to capture some incredible photos of your Cape Town tour, before stopping at a coffee stop at Nordhoek Village.

An optional stop recommended for white wine lovers is Cape Point Vineyards, where they make the best Sauvignon blanc in South Africa, and the view of the wine farm is breathtaking.

Our next stop will allow us to explore Simon's Town, a town named after Simon Van Der Stel, Cape Town’s first governor. Then we head to a 40-minute visit of one of the biggest colony of the endangered African Penguins known as the Jackass, where you can walk next to these sea birds.

From here, we will head to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. We can look for wildlife such as bontebok, baboons, cape eland, zebras, ostriches, seals and from time to time, dolphins and whales depending of the time of the year.

Finally, we will drive to the Cape of Good Hope to take photos behind the famous wooden board. If you like, you can hike the mountains surrounding the cape Peninsula and cape Point, or alternatively, you can take a funicular, a kind of cable car, to take you to the old lighthouse.

Lunch will be at a nearby restaurant. Ask your tour guide for recommendations.

Return to Cape Town will be via Kometjie so that you can see the other side of Cape Town. Drop off at your hotel after the tour.

“Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing tour of Cape Town! Joseph, our guide, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well. I would recommend someone who can easily get sea sick to avoid the seal island. Overall, we had a great experience.”
