Methode Cap Classique, Chocolate and Wine Tasting

Take a breathtaking, tongue-twisting journey into the world of Methode Cap Classique (MCC), South Africa's equivalent to the French old art of champagne making, during this eight-hour-long wine tasting tour. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cape Town and drive you to Stellenbosch.

Our first destinations is the house of JC Le Roux. This wine estate is the first and leading wine estate dedicated exclusively to creating sparkling wine in South Africa. Using a traditional French style technique, this wine estate creates the finest Methode Cap Classiques.

Next, we travel to Lanzerac Wine Estate, where you will get to try both wine and chocolates. This wine estate started out in 1962 when Isaac Schrijver was granted a piece of land by the then Governor of the Cape, Simon Van Der Stel, and it has since grown into an iconic South African wine estate it is today.

After lunch at one of the wine estates or a restaurant (not included int eh tour price), we head off to Solms Delta Wine Estate, which is different from all the other wine producers in the Franschhoek area. It produces classical, highly acclaimed wines but also offers a variety highlights throughout the year, thereby drawing a wide range of patrons. We will drive you back to Cape Town and drop you off at your hotel in the city after the tour is over.
