The Eastern Escape 2017 tour starts in Budapest and ends in Prague. The Eastern Escape 2017 is an Explorer tour tour that takes 13 days taking you from Budapest to Prague and 8 other destinations in Europe. The Eastern Escape 2017 includes trip leader, accommodation, meals, transport and some activities. Please see the Includes section for details.

Take in some of the finest sites and cities a tour of Eastern Europe has to offer as we pull back the 'Iron Curtain' and introduce you to some of the great travel destinations that were hidden for decades behind a veil of political differences. The Gothic glories of Prague, the cobbled streets of Krakow and the beautiful romanticism of Budapest are all open for us to explore. Travelling with a small group of like-minded companions, this tour is an Eastern Europe experience you'll never forget!
Day 1 Budapest, Hungary

Your house in Budapest awaits. Meet your Trip Leader and prepare for two days to get down and Danube (that be the river) with twin cities, Buda and Pest. Check out Heros’ Square, Parliament House, the National Palace, Fisherman's Bastion and swanky Andrássy Ave. After gorging on goulash, cabbage rolls and dumplings, roll into bed.

Included today:
-Budapest driving tour

Day 2 Budapest

Put down your Rubik's Cube and take on a city with enough baroque, neoclassical and art nouveau architecture to keep you puzzled for hours. Take to the waters at the art nouveau Gellert Baths and don't leave until you're pruny. There are 80+ thermal springs in Budapest, and you've got an all access pass to the city's most famous spa, so you've earned the right to indulge in a treatment or two.

Included today:
-Entry to the world-renowned Gellért Baths

Day 3 Budapest to Timisoara, Romania

Today we're off to Timisoara. Some call it Little Vienna, but we'll leave it to you to describe. Get oriented on a walking tour before getting lost in the Old Town neighbourhood. Don't miss the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral. It's more than just a photo opp and especially ogle-worthy at night. End your day by eating something you've never had (i.e. anything local).

Included today:
-Walking tour of Timisoara

Day 4 Timisoara to Bucharest

Today it's time for Paris' little sister aka Bucharest. Get your bearings on a guided driving tour before splitting off to find some more local cuisine to try.

-Walking tour of Bucharest

Day 6 Bucharest to Brasov

Trade in the scary for fairytale-like Brasov. Cue mountain scenery, cobbled stone streets and some of the best food to be found in this corner of Eastern Europe. Get your bearings on a guided walking tour before we let you loose to explore.
