We also explore on foot the Civic Center built as the first part of the new Bucharest Nicolae Ceausescu was planning to create and we visit two of the churches saved from the political decision of destruction, moved through an innovative technique even hundreds of meters away from their original location. We also visit the permanent exhibition of the Communism Memorial from Sighet and we observe first hand the different communist architectural styles.
Last but not least, we visit the former residence of the Ceausescu couple, the dictatorial communist couple, and take a nice walk through Herastrau Park to the former Scanteia House, a faithful copy of the Lomonosov University from Moscow. This is one of the first communist built monuments in Bucharest and was the headquarters of all state controlled media.
