Guides gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!

  • Theo Van Der Linden
“We searched on internet and learned about this company. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good. I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro. We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: 'basic' accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it. I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers - he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!”
Great trip of key places around Bolivia

“What a wonderful trip with a wide variety of experiences! We traveled all over Bolivia and were able to see and learn about the very diverse parts of the country, from Lake Titicaca to the salt flats and La Paz to Sucre. We had great guides and the trip truly exceeded our expectations.”

“Everything was great, except 1 hiccup at the hotel in Cusco. From the look, it's nice. But not functional. Faucet wasn't proportional, so when the water ran, the whole counter got wet & ran down to the bathroom floor. The mattress kept sliding away from the bed. The hotel dining area was leaking when raining. We could hear people outside talking from our room. Other than that, the rest was perfectly fine.”

Bolivia - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

As one of only two landlocked countries in the Americas, Bolivia is considered one of the world's most remote countries - making it even more exciting to discover! The tourism industry in Bolivia has been slow to start but is quickly picking up pace with most visitors coming for holidays and trips from its neighbouring countries of Brazil and Chile. This country is incredibly diverse when it comes to both geography and culture, with plenty of natural phenomenon and traditional experiences to explore.

Tour Highlights

  • Explore the Chincana ruins on Isla del Sol
  • Snap photos at Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat
  • Hike the Che Guevara Trail
  • Visit the indigenous people of the Uros Islands
  • Take a boat ride across Lake Titicaca
  • Visit the Witches Market in La Paz

Travel Tips

  • Be very careful when taking a taxi in Bolivia. Robberies and other crimes within taxis are increasingly common, particularly in large cities. Only use a 'radio taxi' - a taxi that has the company name and telephone number on its roof - and take note of the registration number whenever possible.
  • Bolivian airports are an experience on their own. When arriving, keep all your entry paperwork with you as your hotel will likely ask for it. Upon departure, arrive at least two to three hours early for paperwork processing and be prepared to pay an extra airport tax.
  • US dollars can be difficult to exchange in Bolivia with many banks and exchange companies only accepting brand new bills. To save yourself the hassle, try to get your hands on some bolivianos (the national currency) before you travel.
  • Be sure to pack sunscreen for your trip to Bolivia, as UV levels are extremely high.
  • Be flexible and always have a plan B for your trip to Bolivia. Bolivians have a relaxed sense of time. This, combined with frequent strike and protests, means public transport is often unreliable.

Bolivia has seasonal weather so please do check up on best time to visit Bolivia before planning your tour.
