The tour Kyrgyzstan: Tian Shan Gorge Trek starts from and ends in Bishkek. It is a hiking trip that takes 15 days taking you through Jety-Oguz, Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu Gorge, Chon Kyzyl-Suu Gorge and 7 other destinations in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan: Tian Shan Gorge Trek is a guided small group tour that includes accommodation, transport and others.

Spectacular trekking through alpine meadows and wild pastures inhabited by Kyrgyz nomads - past gushing rivers and waterfalls, taking in panoramic views of Lake Issyk-Kul and the snow-capped peaks of the Tian Shan Range, meaning 'Mountains of Heaven'. The first part of the walking route crosses a series of rugged, seldom-visited gorges, which only the most intrepid of outsiders have laid eyes on. Whilst the latter part of the trek crosses into Jety-Oguz Gorge, famed for its immense beauty. There's also the chance to hike to the foot of Karakol Peak (the highest in the region) and there are all sorts of other delights besides the trek itself: rejuvenate in the thermal baths of Altyn Arashan, learn to make traditional 'lagman' noodles in a family home, take a guided tour of Bishkek, and visit ancient sites including the Cholpon-Ata Petroglyphs.

“A wonderful trip with beautiful mountain views of the Annapurna region. The trip starts at a low altitude (approx 600m) and you get a variety of scenery, rice paddies and villages at the lower levels to high mountains at altitude. The tea houses and food were excellent and were of a higher standard than I had expected. Hot showers were available at all stops.”

“This trip was graded as moderate/challenging and that was spot on! Apart from the first day, every day involved hill climbs and some steep descents. The scenery was magnificent and was ever changing. No one day was the same and my breath was taken away at every twist and turn in the road. Some of the off road section are not for the feint hearted but are easily negotiable with care. Cycling was a fantastic way to see these fabulous countries. A mix of culture was added to the pot through local cuisine and wine tasting.”

“Lets get one thing straight; you need to do this trip!! no matter where you've been and what you've seen there will always be a void in your portfolio unless you experience this. So much is included in such a small time period there is no time to get bored, all the I's dotted and the T's crossed for accommodation and service from the crew which were first class all the way, all building up to the gorilla trek which is so amazing words have not been invented which can express what I felt for that ever so short hour in their presence, but enough from me just go and experience it for yourselves.”
