The kayaking is over 22km of relaxed, downstream paddling on the one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. You will spend over 4-5 hours on a predominantly calm water with a few fun rapids in stable, two-person kayaks. You do not need any previous knowledge about kayaking. Can I book on my own? Sure, you can! A lot of people do. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people. How big will the group be? This trip will run with a minimum of 4 people. The maximum number of is 16. Please note that if there aren't 4 people on the trip, your booking will either be rescheduled or cancelled. What skills/experience/fitness do I need? A basic level of fitness is required for all activities. You need to be able to handle approx. 3 – 4 hours of activity per day. Your guide will be with you at all times and help you when needed. You do not need any prior kayaking experience. Your guide will give you full instructions and a safety briefing before you start paddling downstream. Also, be advised that the water can get chilly and you will be provided with wet suits to keep you warm. What’s the weather like? Summers and early autumns are the best periods to visit the area. During the summer, the average temperature of this place is around 25 – 30 °C, so bring some lightweight, breathable clothes. Autumn is slightly chillier, but still really pleasant and with the added bonus of stunning fall colors. What’s the food like? The food is local, fresh, home-cooked and hearty. Common food items include domestic cheeses and other dairy products, dry meats, fish, freshly baked bread and pastries, and local fruits and veggies. Drinks are not included in the meals. Can my dietary requirements be cater to? Absolutely! Just let us know at the time of your booking. What do I need to bring with me? All specialized equipment will be provided (kayaks, paddles, short neoprene suits and socks, ropes, harnesses and helmets, among others).
