TOUR OVERVIEW
The trip "Biking Bangkok To Angkor Wat" starts from Bangkok and ends in Siem Reap. This is a bicycle tour that takes 7 days. You will travel through Cambodia, Thailand and Cameroon and visit Angkor Wat, Soi Dao, Banteay Srei and 4 other destinations. This is a guided small group trip that includes accommodation in hotels, meals and others.

Our Thailand and Cambodia bike touring adventure is a fantastically varied cycle odyssey. Starting from the seaside in Thailand we cross over the border with Cambodia to the foothills of the Cardamom Mountains, From there we ride into rural Cambodia, discover the colonial outpost of Battambang, journey by boat across the Tonle Sap and ride through the world renowned temples of Angkor. On this Southeast Asian bicycle tour, let our local cycle and temple guides really show you what beautiful and historically rich Thailand and Cambodia have to offer!

Exploring by bike, we get to see more of the incredible legacy of the Khmer at Angkor and get a glimpse into rural Cambodian life. The ancient Khmer capital of Angkor is today one of the most remarkable and impressive sights in all of Asia. For much of its 600 years, the Angkor empire's regional power was unmatched, and under a number of its 'god-kings' such as Jayavarman the 7th the artistic exploits of the Khmer kingdom were unrivaled.

In meeting the people in the countryside, you will begin to know the real Cambodia and the extraordinary and beautiful people of this fascinating country. Cambodia's recent embittered history contrasts starkly with the grandeur of the Angkorian past.

“A SpiceRoads tour makes for a memorable trip: our guides enabled us to see their country and meet its people through their eyes. It is a way to be a tourist without feeling like a "tourist".

We want to give special kudos to Mr. Slm Ousaphea (Phea). Everything about his guiding was superb. Phea's openness, knowledge, friendliness, warmth and compassion for us (his group), his fellow Cambodians and all the people we met along the way made our trip an experience we will not soon forget.”
