See the best of Athens in a day that includes everything that you need to see in the city. Explore 2,500 years of history, stroll through the most beautiful neighborhoods & immerse yourself into the fascinating Greek culture in a fun and instructive way.

We’ll start the day by climbing the Acropolis hill where you’ll enjoy a private guided tour to admire the Parthenon, the Erectheion & the surrounding monuments (1,5 hour approx.). We'll then descend to Acropolis museum, in order to have a tour to its fascinating exhibitions without waiting in lines (1,5 hour approx.).

Afterwards, we stop for a refreshing lunch break (optional) with traditional Greek cuisine at a restaurant nearby. Our exploration will continue on by crossing Andrianou Street, the most distinctive street of Plaka neighborhood, full of sophisticated shops & souvenirs.

We will then reach the imposing Roman Agora & the Tower of the Winds. A little further down we'll admire the Library of Hadrian & the vivid life of Monastiraki Square, a place full of people & colors.

We'll continue our walk through Athinas & Evripidou Streets, the surrounding streets of Athens Central Market. Little shops will be all around us, selling herbs, delicacies, nuts, household items & many more. After having crossed this fascinating commercial triangle, we'll end up at Panepistimiou Street, where we'll marvel at the impressive trilogy of neoclassical buildings; the National Library, the Academy & the University of Athens. If we keep walking, we'll soon reach Syntagma Square, the most famous square of the city. We'll take some time to watch the valiant Evzones in front of the building of the Greek Parliament.

Having left Syntagma Square behind us, we'll stroll through the lush green oasis of the National Gardens for a while, an ideal place to relax away from the city noise. Our refreshing walk we'll lead us to the extraordinary Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place. If we continue for a little while, we'll reach the Zappeion Hall -an impressive neoclassical building- and afterwards we'll feel amazed by the size of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrian Arch.

Our walk will come to an end in front of the Lycicrates monument in Plaka, close to the Acropolis Metro Station. By the time we say goodbye, you’ll have seen the best of Athens in a walk that includes everything - history, architecture, ancient & modern city life.
