“We were meant to go on the Upper Mustang trek to Lo Manthang, but they were having the snowiest winter in 10 years. We had to change our plans considerably and only made it as far as Tangbe. Mustang was beautiful and clear, especially with the snow, and we had the rare experience of seeing a snow leopard in the wild. From there we went closer to Pokhara and trekked around a bit before returning a few days early to Kathmandu. Our guide said that normally trekking in Mustang that time of year is doable, but it was too snowy for us to make it all the way to Lo Manthang. It was a unique experience. The tea houses were all super nice, and we enjoyed the food along the way.”

Choosing to go in winter was a big decision for two Queenslanders but I would recommend the off season to everyone! The tracks were empty, the teahouses had plenty of room and the snow makes the hot chocolates taste even better ;)
GET A PORTER. Not only does it help the Nepalese economy it also ensures you don't have that extra challenge when fighting the altitude and you actually enjoy the journey each day rather than trying to hurry to the destination. We are both very fit young girls so carrying the bags would have been fine but we really think we enjoyed the trip a lot more than those who choose to not hire a porter. Yes it's expensive but this is a once in a lifetime trip so ensure you do it all right!”

“"Recently I had this great trekking experience here in Nepal, i found this trek very satisfying with great views of mountains,Himalayas,Flora and Fauna,wild animals,local people with culture and traditions on each and every trail and path.On our way we saw the local people they were very welcoming and warm hearted, as we saw the local people hunting the honey for living and we also saw the many beautiful gardens of "Cardamon" on every field and from my guide i came to know that this region is main hub for the Cardamon business here in Nepal. We had many beautiful view of the mountains like:Everest,Lhotse,Makalu and many other stunning views of mountains from the passes of Sele and on our way we also saw may wild animals like wild Musk Deer, Red Panda from the close ranges on our way to the Base Camp. The views were very much different and unique from the both sides of the Base Camp as i was very mesmerized by the views of the mountains from the Base Camp. Lastly i am very much satisfied with this trek and i want thank the whole team for organizing such a great trek for me from the bottom of my heart.”

“We had an amazing trip with Raju Mainali from Unique Adventures, the guide was amazing and we had so much fun with him! Because of the snow we couldn’t reach Annapurna Base Camp, but Raju made a new plan for us and really listened to our requests. In the evenings we played cards with the guide and he made sure everything was fine, drinks, food, the nights, just everything. Overall we had an amazing trek, with amazing surroundings, even though we couldn’t go to the base camp. We are really thankfull that we had Raju as our guide and that we choice the Annapurna Base Camp trek.”

“We’ve just finished our ABC trekking with Unique Adventures. Unfortunately we didn’t reach the top because of the snowfall, it was too dangerous. Beside the disappointmant we had a very nice trekking with our guide Raju. He made a new route and listened to our wishes. This route was a big challenge for us but that was what we came for. We had a lot of fun during the walk but also after a long day he sits with us and play cards, it was very nice. He and our porters took really good care of us, we’re so grateful.
One day I come back for the ABC and I will do that with Raju.”
