Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Leave Arusha with packed lunch boxes at 08.30 hrs for Tarangire National Park tour. This park is located 120 kms away from town. In this astonishing park, expect to see substantial herds of elephants gathering alongside the Tarangire River along with many others species of animals such as wildebeest, lions, buffaloes, zebras and prolific birds. Dinner and overnight at panorama or haven nature camp site. Close to Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 2: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you start on your way to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the Olduvai Gorge, the very place where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa (optional). After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in the Serengeti, continue into the park and go on a sunset game drive. Overnight at Seronera Camp Site.
Day 3: Serengeti
Enjoy a full-day Serengeti National Park tour where you can expect to see all kinds of animals. The national park derives its name from the Maasai Language and translates to endless plains. It hosts several animal and bird species such as the lion, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, cheetah, warthog, hyena, and more. You might also get to see the Great Migration if you're lucky enough. Dinner at Seronera Camp Site
Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro
After hot breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. After lunch, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight at Simba Camp Site.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
