  • Hike through the Shira Ridge. Traverse the entirety of the Shira Plateau from west to east
  • Higher chances of reaching the summit
Take the lesser-known route to the top of Africa's highest mountain during this seven-day, private, guided trip. Your journey to the top starts after we pick you up in Arusha on the first day of the trip and drive you to Londorossi Gate. From there, your journey continues through Big Tree Camp, Shira Camp 2, Barranco and Barafu camps to reach the top of the mountain.

The Lemosho route, which starts on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro, is the lesser-known of all the routes to the top of the mountain. However, it is increasingly being preferred by travelers for the beautiful scenery it offers along with a high summit success rate. Most of our travelers who have used this route love it.

Unlike the popular Machame route, which simply intersects the Shira Plateau, the Lemosho route crosses the entirety of the plain from west to east during a pleasant, relatively flat hike. An added bonus is that climbers will encounter low traffic until the route converges with the Machame route and takes you through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu, all of which fall in the southern circuit.

We will make our descent via the Mweka route. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.

“I just finished my 4 days Tanzania Safari. I joined a group of 5 people, strangers but came to find out we all come from the same country which was a welcomed coincidence. We had a great time with our guide James and stomach doctor Buri. Steve with communication was perfect, quick and professional. I had read a scary review but he assured me that their service is perfect and they have their own office and vehicles. I took a risk and it was worth it. We met at their office in Arusha Centre Tourist Inn before the safari for payments, then proceed the safari which was more than I ever imagined or expected. The entire 4 days to Manyara Serengeti Ngorongoro crater was handled professionally and I have high standards.
I really liked Safari Book Evolution. We managed to see all wild animals and the service was great. It was an excellent option in terms of value for money. James, Buri and Steve I will never forget you, thank you all for the experience.”

“We went with a family of 6 on the 3 day Masai Mara tour. We had tourguide/driver Onesmas and wonderful cook Kyoko with us in a small but reasonabky comfortabel van. Onesmas was very good, entertaining without being intrusive and very good with all the locals. One highlight was seeing the start of the massive wildebeest migration from the Serengeti Tanzania into Masai Mara.”
