The tour Kilimanjaro - Lemosho Route & Wildlife Safari starts from and ends in Arusha. It is a trekking tour that takes 15 days taking you through Barafu Camp, Shira Hut, Millenium Camp and 8 other destinations in Tanzania. Kilimanjaro - Lemosho Route & Wildlife Safari is a guided small group tour that includes accommodation, transport, meals and others.

Climb the highest mountain in Africa on the beautiful and challenging Lemosho route combined with a drive-fly wildlife safari through Tanzania's magnificent National Parks. Stand on the highest peak of Africa - approach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, fondly known as Kili, via the challenging and beautiful Lemosho Route. Our trip starts and ends in Arusha, and this itinerary gives maximum possible acclimatisation to enjoy the incredible scenery. We climb the rim of the Shira Plateau with a gentle ascent and panoramic views. We walk on the lava ridges and enjoy extensive views of the plains below. From here, there is some steep climbing but also a chance for a restful afternoon before the final summit day. We aim to be on the top of Africa by sunrise with our reward being the panorama of mountain-top and savannah, perhaps mythically swathed in mist, below us. Before or after ascending Kilimanjaro, we indulge in an all encompassing fly-drive safari highlighting the best game parks in northern Tanzania including huge herds of elephants in Tarangire, the spectacular World Heritage listed Ngorongoro Crater, visits to a Masai village and the renowned paleolithic site of Olduvai Gorge, and culminating in the distinctive scenery and abundant wildlife in the world famous Serengeti National Park.

“A great experience.... an 8 day trek and a 5 day safari. A tough climb at nearly 6000 metres but slow and steady does the trick....and lots of water. Arusha was a fascinating city to walk and drive around.... lots of poverty but friendly people. The range of animals on safari was amazing...... saw the Big Five and heaps more! Roads are very rough and driving on public roads can be hazardous. A fantastic trip in sunny weather.”

“Brilliant trip, well organised, everything went like clockwork and the itinerary was a perfect mix of being super active and busy with some time to recover. The level of guiding and information on tour was brilliant. Very good English spoken by guides and very informative. Could not be faulted.”

“The climb was a wonderful experience and excellent guides and porters looked after us so well. We all made it to the top - it wasn't easy, but the expertise of our guides Henry, Alpha and Betrium, and the encouragement that they gave us along the way ensured that we all got to the summit!”

“Highly recommend the Lemosho Trek on Mt Kilimanjaro. Each day was different, from forest on the first day, to the walking across the open planes of the Shira Plateau, and looking down onto the clouds from our campsite. I'll never forget turning a corner on the second day and suddenly seeing Mt Kilimanjaro for the first time. The guides were brilliant and couldn't have done more to help us to the summit.”
