Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania!

Located 9 km from Arusha town, Korona Villa Bed & Breakfast features a restaurant and free WIFI throughout the property. The bed and breakfast has a barbeque and sun terrace, and you can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

Day 2: Off to the Endless Plains of Serengeti

Enjoy an early breakfast this morning, you are picked up from Korona and transferred to Arusha Airport to board a scheduled flight to Serengeti. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, our driver guide will meet and transfer you to Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.

The camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience.

After you are checked-in, with packed lunch depart the camp, and spend the half day exploring Serengeti plains and witness the great wildebeest migration which is one of the most amazing wildlife events. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3+4: Witness the Greatest Show on Earth “Wildebeest Migration “

Wake up and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then, you are off to explore more of Serengeti and the wildebeest Migration. The annual wildebeest migration of herds in northern Tanzania and Kenya is one of the world’s spectacular wildlife events. Often referred to as the “Greatest Show on Earth”, The Great Wildebeest migration is a movement of approximately two and a half million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle trespassing through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in an endless quest for fresh pasture and water. In late afternoon, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Over the next two days, spend your time here exploring every corridor of the world’s best-known wildlife sanctuary on game drives, as well as to witnessing the constant movement of a million plus wildebeest, zebras, gazelles across what the local Maasai people refer to as “Siringit”; which means “the endless plains”.

This is home to large prides of lions, cheetah, leopard, jackal, sevial cat. The Serengeti splendor is not only the amazing migration but also the abundance of animals sharing the Serengeti ecosystem. Spend your days on a flexible schedule, allowing for daily game drives. Your last night in the Serengeti will be spent at Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 5: Visit Olduvai Gorge - Cradle of Mankind

You can spend your last morning in the Serengeti on a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride and observe the landscape and animals from above. Upon landing, toast some champagne and indulge in the bush breakfast prepared at your landing site. And as you eat under the shade of an umbrella tree the animals keep their distance.

Check-out and leave the Serengeti behind you as you drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands via Olduvai Gorge. The gorge is a rich archaeological site that contains traces of early man that were discovered by Dr. Richard and Mary Leakey. At the top of the gorge, sits a museum which houses some of their findings that include fossil remains of humans and animals, early tools and artifacts. After enjoying your picnic lunch at Naabi gate, continue on your journey to the Rhino Lodge.

Day 6: Descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater – “Garden of Eden”

Wake for an early breakfast and an early start, in order to be one of the first to capture movement on the Crater floor. Shaped like a massive bowl with hues of lush green and brown, the crater was formed as a result of sunken volcano millions of year ago. It has a permanent supply of water and food, and supports close to 30,000 mammals.

The crater floor offers you a Noah’s Ark experience. The landscape consists of open grasslands, a soda-lake, swamps and a forest. Spend a full day in this natural beauty and UNESCO WORLD Heritage Site. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool.

As you ascend the crater floor, marvel at all that you have witnessed in a full day, stop at the top for an amazing view. You then drive to Farm House Valley Lodge for overnight. The lodge is built on the style of an old colonial farm and rustically decorated with local materials and full of details of good taste, with the purpose of offering guess an imaginary journey to the life of the days gone.

Day 7: Elephant territory – Baobab Trees

After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Highlands and about one hour’s drive and a half brings you to the elephant territory and the dramatic baobab trees of Tarangire.

Tarangire boasts large herds of elephant and buffalo, plus a large concentration of big cats and arguably the best bird diversity in East Africa with more than 500 species. But there is more to Tangangire than the game and birds. This rugged landscape offers a unique safari backdrop that transforms from rolling grasslands and vibrant swamps to forests of enigmatic baobab trees, according to legend, planted upside down for growing too tail and proud. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. Continue with game viewing until evening, and then drive to Roika Tented Camp for overnight.

Day 8: Departure – Flight Back Home

Take your time to rise this morning and enjoy your delicious breakfast. The day’s activities are succinct but be sure to leave with a few facts about Tanzania. A short stop at the Tanzanite museum will provide a wealth of knowledge on the gem which is rare than Diamonds and found only at the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro. This can be followed up with a visit to the Cultural Heritage Center, and depending on your time departure schedule, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport in time for your flight back home.
