The annual migration of over two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, pursued by their predators, is one of the most magical and extraordinary natural events in the world. The diversities of the Ngorongoro Conservation area and the Serengeti National Park, are enormous and include at least four globally threatened species: black rhino, wild dog, elephant and cheetah.

Enjoy Game Viewing during golden mornings and fiery sunset evenings while being guided by our professional English speaking guides. On the drive through Ngorongoro Highlands visit the fascinating Olduvai Museum.

It is wildebeest calving season from January to March annually, therefore do not miss a chance to watch this special event. This is also a season where predators hunt regularly and it is a sight to behold.
Day 1 Arrival in Tanzania Eco lodge

Arrival points (Kilimanjaro airport, Dar es Salaam airport or Nairobi airport). You will meet us for the connection to Arusha town at Karama Lodge. No dinner included tonight but breakfast will be served on next day.

Day 2 Transfer to Ndutu Ngorongoro Conservation Area Eco lodge

After breakfast at 0800, you will be transferred to Ndutu area crossing the Ngorongoro main gate having game drives enroute heading to Ndutu area. Lunch will be served on the way.

Our safari is aimed at the calving season when the massive herds of wildebeest arrive in the Southern part. This is without a doubt one of the best times for you to witness this extraordinary spectacle when the herds find themselves on the vast open plains of the southern Serengeti and Ndutu plains.

Overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp and dinner will be served here.

Day 3 Full day at Ndutu Area Eco lodge

After breakfast at 0630 we start the game drives at Ndutu area visiting different areas including Lake Ndutu. All six species of cat can be found in this area: notably Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Serval, African Wildcat and Caracal - some easier to spot than others!

Other common animals found here include elephant, bat eared fox, various antelope and both the spotted and the less common striped hyena. The diverse eco-systems, from woodlands, to plains, to soda lakes, within the Ndutu area make it a unique place for bird watching as well.

Lunch will be served during the game drive. Overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp and dinner will be served here.

Day 4 Another full day at Ndutu Area Eco lodge

After breakfast, enjoy another full day game drive in the Ndutu area. Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes. See great herds of wildebeest and zebra.

During a short time frame around February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, the majority of the wildebeest give birth to offsprings. The sea of grass provides little cover and the young ones are easy pickings for a variety of predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born and within 3 days they are strong enough to keep up with the herd.

Lunch will be served during the game drives. In the evening dinner and overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 5 Another full day at Ndutu Area Eco lodge

On this day you will decide to have an early breakfast at 0600 or late breakfast at 0830. After the breakfast you will start doing game drive around Ndutu area.

Calves attract predators and this is an amazing time of year to watch impressive lion and other predators kill. Lunch will be served during game drives.
