“The company was amazing to do this trip with. They responded to emails fast before we had landed in Kathmandu and were very helpful. The trek was the best price we found and included everything in it, there were no unexpected extra costs. The guides were amazing the whole time and when I got altitude sickness they were very knowledgeable and made sure I was safe. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to do a trek.”

“I had an amazing 15 day trek around the Annapurna Circuit with this gem of a company! The itinerary was well organised and suited a variety of fitness levels. Ours was a group of 8 people who all got along really well and this definitely made the trip more enjoyable than it already is. From booking the trek to completing the journey at Pokhara, we were well taken care of every step of the way. Chhatra was quick to reply to any queries I had regarding the trip via email and the packing list and instructions provided by the company was spot on. Our guide Ram and assistant guide Sandeep were professional, dedicated and caring throughout our trip, gently encouraging us when we were feeling tired and worn out during some of the tougher days of the trek and yet remained so positive and energetic themselves throughout the trip. Ram has 20
odd years of trekking experience in the Himalayas under his belt and provided accurate information to our questions peppered with personal anecdotes of his various adventures during this time as a mountain guide. Our porters (Bikram, Ram, Sudeep and Sumrat) worked tirelessly to ensure that our bags arrived safely and yet always had a willing smile on their face despite the heavy load on their back. The camaraderie and friendship that these men have for each other is truly remarkable as they helped each other along what is definitely a tiring and difficult job. The sceneries along the trek was breathtaking and changes almost everyday from lush green forests to snow capped mountains, making this the perfect itinerary for those of us who are into our photography or just looking to enjoy a wide range of views. The teahouses that we stayed in were simple and as clean as they come and the food along the way was delicious and filling. Overall I would say that this is a moderate- difficult trek and would definitely recommend this to anyone relatively fit and looking for a challenge. Would recommend/ order again!”
Beautiful sceneries but bad agency Reviewed Tour: 15 Day Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake

“I booked my trek because I’ve read a lot of nice reviews.
Don’t get me wrong, the views were beautiful, over the mountains. Tilicho Lake was incredible and Thorong la Pass very challenging.
But, if you book with an agency so you don’t have to worry about anything during the trek, then try another one !
At the pretrek meeting, when we ask about the flight (Jomson-Pokhara) tickets booking, he told us everything was in order.
3 days before the supposed flight, our guide told us he didn’t have the tickets, the company didn’t send him anything (even though we asked for it !). We called the boss and he told us he tried but it was hard and couldn’t get the tickets. Is it what we call a liar ? I think so.
Of course if we talk about money : 25 min flight = 100$ per person and 10 hours Jeep travel = 15$. So much benefit for them to say they weren’t able to book.
Let’s talk about our guide :
- his English was bad (I’m french ok) but the Australians with me couldn’t understand him either
- didn’t explained us anything
- didn’t really know our itinitary
- didn’t want to go to Tilicho base camp because it was crowded because of the Nepalese vacantion. What’s the point of hiring a guide then ?
We finally went there because we forced him to. And once there we slept on tents because apparently there was no more rooms available but still saw people getting rooms 2-4 hours after we arrived. Must be a price problem isn’t it ?
- one of us got sick in Thorong pedi but told us there was no room anymore there and we needed to hike 1h / 1000m high to go to High camp. She was sick, so she couldn’t move and needed to rest, he finally found us a room. Miracle ?

Finally, I don’t see where my money went on this trek. We didn’t know in advance how much we could spend for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Rooms weren’t booking in advance. I don’t see the advantage of having a guide and booking with an agency.
Lesson learned, next time, save money and hike alone. You’ll meet a lot of people, no way of getting lost and you will save a LOT of money.”
The tour operator responded on :
“Greetings!!! Thank You for your Review. We would like to apologize for your inconvenience during this trip. We have taken this review as a timely reminder for us. We are in the field of Nepal Trekking and Tours since 1998. We always craved for surpassing guests expectations and needs. We have noted this incident happened with you during the trip as reminder for us as a reality check. This will undoubtedly help us sharpen our service standards' reevaluation.

We couldn't replace the bad moments endured by you but certainly we empathize. We have tried to explain about the situation along with this response text.

1. Pre - Trek Meeting
When we had pre trek meeting the flights tickets booking request email was sent to Airline Company. We can provide you the copy of our correspondence with airline company. On that particular date we got a message of booking confirmation.

Jomsom - Pokhara Flight is very complicated air route of Nepal including Lukla, Juphal, Simikot and Phaplu. Locals pressurize the airline company regarding the reservation quotas for them. Moreover, syndicate enforced by locals make it very hard for travel agency to get tickets. However, our team relentlessly worked to get tickets for you. Eventually we managed to get tickets.

We told you about the ground transportation as back up plan. The ground transportation you talked about is local (15 $) but private jeep costs 300 $ approx. Usually if flight is not available we provide private 4 wheel Jeep. We would like to stress that our intention was "not to save money by providing less services to our guests".

2. Trekking Guide
- The guide we assigned is very experienced with more than 20 years in the field of Nepal Trekking. We accept that his English Language is not fluent but he is English Speaking Guide who had conducted numerous expeditions before as well.

- In the event that he hesitated to go Tilicho Lake, after inquiring him we found that during that period of time lots of Nepalese domestic trekkers and others were on the destination. He told us that when such huge number of people is at Tilicho Base Camp the problem of accommodation would occur. You have mentioned that few trekkers got room after you have reached the camp site. This we found out that their porter went to the place couple days before. This is not a price problem.

- You are correct that Guide should have been more proactive. We have already taken corrective action on this.

3. Room in Thorong Phedi
We found out that guide requested the teahouse owner regarding situation and paid extra as well to get room. Teahouse owner transferred two guests on sharing basis to another room.

4. Room Booking in Advance is not done
In mountain we always book room once we reach the destination or if network is available we call the teahouse from trekking route. This is done particularly to avoid unnecessary booking incase trekkers don't reach the destination because of sickness, climate or other circumstances. This is the normal procedure of all trekking routes of Nepal.

Once again we would like to apologize. In our Trekking and Tour journey for almost 20 years we didn't get such review. This would be the most effective tool for us to update certain areas. Please don't take this response text as if we are trying to defend ourselves rather we would like to thank you for letting us know about it.

We would like to invite you again in Nepal for any trips. We will ensure that it would be momentous hassle free holiday in Nepal.”
Incredible Experience, Fantastic Guides Reviewed Tour: Annapurna Circuit Trek

“We found Chhatra and the company as a whole to be extremely communicative and straightforward, and the overall experience met, then exceeded our expectations of the circuit. First of all, Nepal and the Himalayas are amazing, but having a great guide and portars made the experience that much better. Lakpa Sherpa, Pemba Sherpa, and Wangchhu Sherpa were funny, protective, knowledgeable, and patient with our group of four, and always made sure we were warm, fed, and full of honey, lemon and ginger tea. We never stayed in a hotel room that Lakpa didn't approve of first, and he even made us momos one night (and they were delicious). I highly recommend this company, these guides, and the Annapurna Circuit!”
