Join us for this 5-night camping exploration of some remarkable national parks and natural Australian landmarks in the Australian outback.

Upon leaving Alice Springs we hit the desert road headed for Uluru (Ayers Rock). Nothing will prepare you for the sight of Uluru! Learn about the indigenous culture around Uluru and how important it is today, all while admiring the unbelievable size and bright red colour. Settle in for some of the best sunsets you will ever see.

After sleeping comfortably under the stars in a swag around the campfire, we wake up early and hike the Valley of the Winds hike at Kata Tjuta.

Day three, we hit the desert highway again bound for another camping night in Kings Canyon. Be blown away by the Kings Canyon Rim Hike in Watarrka National Park, some of the most spectacular rock formations you will see.

As we make our way down the Stuart highway we stay one night in the famous ‘underground’ town, Coober Pedy. Here, you will feed orphaned Kangaroo’s, dig for opals at the Opal Mine Museum and sleep underground like the locals.

We spend our last night in the southern Flinders Ranges and visit the stunning Alligator Gorge in Mount Remarkable National Park.

“Had a great tour on the Rock to Water tour with Sam. Sam was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information on the flora and fauna and history during the tour. There were lots of jokes and stories on the way and the group got along really well together. The food cooked by Sam was great as well! Would highly recommend the tour! Thanks Sam!”

“I cant recommend Groovy grapes enough, by far the BEST tour company i have travelled with. From a fun filled day on the Barossa valley to the rock tour experience i will never forget. Both guides (Jerry then Jase) were extremely passionate about their jobs passing on as much local info as they could and having lots of laughs along the way. The itineraries were great and certainly packed in as much as there was to offer, you definitely get your money's worth out of these tours. I will treasure the memories made which will stay with me forever, Big love Groovy Grapes.”

“We have recently done a rock 2 water 6 day Alice to Adelaide tour. (Started 7th Feb 2018) The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Shane the tour guide was fantastic. His knowledge was exceptional on all subjects and he kept the whole bus entertained, with his information and stories. His attention to detail enabled the trip to function without a single hiccup and the travellers in the bus gelled as a result. We felt safe at all times and the only disappointing aspect was finishing the trip and saying goodbye at the end. Thanks Shane and Groovy Grapes for a memorable 6 days.”
