Hi! My name is Ellen Zoe and I've been living in Costa Rica for the past 19 years. As a retired publicist from the entertainment industry, I have loads of experience catering to the needs of people. I also know how to put those skills to good use and make the best possible vacation trips for my clients. I've also travelled all over Costa Rica and experienced the hotels, the tours and all kinds of transportation, so I know exactly what to recommend to give our clients the best Costa Rica vacation package possible.

In my free time, I take advantage of living in Tamarindo on the Pacific northwest coast. I surf, run, take yoga classes, read, relax and spend time with my friends, usually eating at one of the best restaurants in town. I also love travelling around and seeing new places. This country continues to amaze me with its diversity!

I know a lot about the adventure, nature, surfing and relaxation options in Costa Rica. For instance, the canopy zip lining in Monteverde cloud forest, high up in the mountains, is spectacular. I always recommend stopping there, also since most people want to see the natural sights that Costa Rica offers. If that's not in the itinerary, I can pretty much find the best nature and adventure tours in any part of the country.

As a surfer, I also have extensive knowledge about the best places around the coasts of Costa Rica to catch waves. The country has many world-class surf breaks and if you know how to surf already, or its been on your bucket list to learn, I can find you the best spots to catch the stoke.

I've also learned much more about relaxing since moving here and living the "Pura Vida" lifestyle, and I can show my clients how to do that too!

Ellen Zoe's best travel experience

My favourite place that I've visited is the Caribbean island of Tortuguero. I love that it is very isolated and that I needed to take a boat there. The island also has the unique distinction of having no cars. It's rustic and the boat canal tours are so inspiring. Of course, there have been so many other memorable trips, such as to Monteverde cloud forest, or having a good soak in the natural hot springs near Arenal Volcano.
