It was good to be "off the beaten track" -- away from crowds, in smaller places. The places we stayed were terrific, and the meals -- the reason we came here -- wonderful.

We loved our walking trip the land of Barolo and Barbera. We learnt an enormous amount about the Piedmont and experienced firsthand the vineyards and wineries of the area. The scenery was amazing. The walk was easy to intermediate but we had some extremely hot weather which was unexpected, making the walk more challenging, but without the heat it would’ve been a very pleasant and manageable walk. Accommodation along the way was terrific. The transfers and other administrative aspects of the walk went incredibly smoothly. The last hotel was amazing with Carlo the owner of the restaurant and hotel being an amazing chef and host. But many others were wonderful as well. The accomodation and restaurant in Cissone was also worthy of special comment. The trip notes said it may be possible to buy lunch along the way but it is generally best to be prepared with your own food. Sometimes there is nothing available or open. We would highly recommend the trip. We went back over the route by car two weeks later which expanded our knowledge and understanding and love of the area.

My husband and I are both in our mid 70s and did wonder if this wonderful walk would be too strenuous. I loved it! Yes, it was challenging in places, but we did it. The accommodation and baggage transfers were great - enjoyed the swimming pools in a couple of the accommodations. The App and maps worked perfectly - if you go off track you know it within minutes! I thoroughly recommend this walk - the views, the wines, the food, all wonderful. If anything, the walk was too short!! I would highly recommend this walk, and this company for their superb organisation.

An awesome trip! Beautiful scenery, great accommodations, and superb food and wine. A couple of challenging sections of trail but they just made the wine taste that much better.

The trek in Piedmont was excellent. The organisation was very smooth - all the accommodation was very good and the navigation guides were accurate. The countryside was very attractive with lots of variation and the paths had very few other walkers in early October.

It was an an excellent well supported walk. We were lucky with weather. The accommodation was generally v good with v friendly hosts and good meals. A few suggestions: The distances were always about 2-3 km more than advised The grade for >65yos more often 3 than 2. Quite steep climbs. After rain it was at times v slippery. Poles v helpful If evening meal not provided it would be helpful to have it pre-arranged elsewhere as options sometimes v limited. Definitely recommend it to others
